My love of paper goes back as far as I can remember. When I was little, my mom used to send me to the grocery store for milk and I'd come back with milk...and cards.

I started designing greeting cards about ten years ago. I sold them at open air markets around Boston, but realized I didn't quite have the passion to make cards full-time. Instead, I turned my attention to curating an online store of other people’s products, mostly independent artists from New England. In the summer of 2016, I ditched my office job and opened my first brick and mortar location, Calliope Paperie in Natick, MA.

It is my belief that connection to others is the most important thing we have as humans. Whether it's joining someone in joy or coming alongside them in grief, it's that meaningful connection that comes from giving (and receiving!) the perfect card that is absolutely essential.

I am so excited to serve the community of Somerville and serve them SASS. With a few exceptions, my offerings at Bow Market will be completely different from what I sell in Natick. I carry things that have a sharp wit and an edge (my own personality!), and I think the Bow patrons will love what I have picked out for them.

Bow itself is going to be such a hive of excitement, full of so many talented creatives, makers, and dreamers. I can't wait to be a part of it. Plus empanadas. Also macarons.

A well-made card with the perfect sentiment goes with everything.
