Bow Market celebrates 100 popups with map of alum, summer of popups

Bow Market's permanent businesses have been joined by over 100 popups since 2018. In celebration, the Bow team has released a map highlighting business alums.

[Somerville, MA, June 25, 2025]

This summer, Bow Market is celebrating its 100th popup! Though most businesses at Bow are permanent - signing multi-year leases- popups play an important part in keeping the market full and dynamic. "It's an even lower barrier of entry to opening a brick and mortar business," says Co- owner Matt Boyes-Watson, "which means we can work with an even wider group of business owners." Many of the current permanent businesses at Bow Market started as short term popups, including Side Quest Books & Games, Soft Space Wellness, and Pop's Pinball.

20 of Bow Market's popups have become brick and mortar businesses around Somerville (All She Wrote Books, Culture House), the Boston area (Nightshade Noodle Bar, Koji Club, Comfort Kitchen), and beyond (Parabello in Clarks Summit, PA, Bloom Collective and Myrth in Providence, RI).

In celebration of the 100th popup, Bow Market has released a map highlighting all the different businesses that have graduated from the market into their own brick and mortar spaces. "Were blown away by how many businesses have made their way through Bow Market and into their own shops. There is so much talent and energy in the small business community around Boston and we're thrilled to be a part of filling the storefronts that make our neighborhoods so lively and welcoming," says Co-owner Zach Baum.

This summer, Bow Market will be hosting six additional retail and art popups including the extension of Give Good, Bow Market's 100th popup. More information on each of the six popups can be found below.
