Rebecca Kopycinski brings ThotBot Implantation Center performance back to Bow Market

Local artist Rebecca Kopycinski brings the ThotBot Implantation Center, her immersive multimedia performance, back to Bow Market.

The ThotBot Implantation Center first opened at Bow Market in 2020 as a part of the market’s “Get Artist Paid” initiative. Kopycinski is bringing back this immersive experience for one month starting at the end of January and running through the end of February.

The ThotBot Implantation Center is but one of many Episodes in Kopycinski’s ThotBot Storyverse. In addition to this installation, there is also an interactive theater show, a multimedia musical, and a scripted fiction podcast. While each experience stands alone narratively, together the collection of Episodes weave together the ever-expanding dystopian saga of one protagonist across a sprawling post-apocalyptic timeline.

The cryptic but well known posters can be found around Somerville and beyond. The links included send the curious passerby to a quiz/website with more information on how to get tickets to a show.

Currently, there are twelve shows scheduled starting January 30th and running through February 22nd. However, tickets are going fast: six shows are already sold out. In fact, this show has sold out each of its previous 48 performances in Somerville and Malden. Tickets are available to purchase here.
