I’ve always been a creator. Even when I was little, my favorite thing was to pull out the craft box and MAKE. But I’m also a curator. I enjoy hunting for unique pieces made by fellow artists and sharing them with others. My mission is to provide a selection of handmade goods for you and your home that you’ll be proud to own and gift -- each piece created by hand, with heart.
Along with work from fellow makers, Homeslice will be a working studio shop for my own art and you’ll often be able to catch me in there stitching an embroidery or matting prints.
As an artist and small business owner, I think there’s nothing more powerful than being part of a community. Somerville is such a wonderful and welcoming community for artists, and Bow Market creates a mini-community within that already incredible larger community. Having artist and small business neighbors right next door (and right below you!) who share your dreams, values, and challenges is both an invaluable resource as well as makes for an awesome atmosphere.
PAIRS WELL WITH:
My shop is filled with items that are perfect for gifting but I’m lacking in cards -- if you’re buying something as a gift, pop next door to Calliope to top off your purchase with a card!
Also Jaju Pierogi - I’m half Polish and half Ukrainian so I could basically eat pierogi every day.
