Lexie Hofer Griffith

Lexie Butterfly Vintage is a unique visual experience of rainbow playfulness, child-like whimsy, and colorful explosions of fun. Born from a love of vintage and a lifetime of playing dress up in her mother's clothes, Lexie Hofer Griffith began collecting vintage clothing at flea markets to replace the collection her and her mother tragically lost in their house fire. Lexie quickly began selling and trading vintage as a side hustle alongside many career pivots over the years. After moving to Somerville, a true vision of clarity came in the form of making vintage a full time job and soon enough, to opening a brick and mortar at Bow Market.

Lexie Butterfly sees fashion through a lense of style that can only be described as joyous. Rather than taking ourselves so seriously, fashion is fun and creative. Dressing not for traditional ideals of proportion or a sensible ideal of what is flattering, but dressing for the purpose of being happy. Inside the walls of this vintage circus, you'll find collectible clothing from the 60's and 70's mixed with colorful pieces from all eras pre Y2K. You'll also find eclectic sunglasses, socks, and accessories along with every color of cowboy boots you can imagine. Sustainability, inclusivity, and creativity are the three main goals of this unique vintage experience. Sustainability is the most important goal, from bringing damaged pieces back to life or creating new garments from vintage fabric, LBV is committed to "using it up and wearing it out". Inclusivity is also a staple to include more modern sizing and a range of prices to provide something for everyone. Finally, creativity in the form of bold colors, wacky prints, and unique styling, LBV hopes to get your gears turning with their carefully curated selection.
