JUST PLAIN GAY: PRIDE AT REBEL REBEL

Just Plain Gay is Rebel Rebel's Pride party—and it's exactly what it sounds like. A celebration of us, just as we are; no concept, no costume. Just our community, our wines, our people, and a really good party.

We'll be pouring from our favorite queer producers, bopping with the Spin The Bottle DJ collective, slinging Solid Wiggles Jell-O shots and frozé ice pops, and dropping limited-edition merch—both faves from the archive and a few new ones. Bow Market vendors have food specials all day, and we've got crafts for the kids (and kids at heart).

Attendees are encouraged to dress to impress and feel your best! Ball gown? Great. Jeans and a crop top? Incredible. You do you. That's what today is for.

As always, this is your post-parade, pre-club, all ages party. And it's all yours.

Tix aren't required, but they do help us plan! RSVP so we know how much frozé to make :)

"Blood over Bright Haven" Book Club x Side Quest Books & Games

Join Side Quest Books & Games for a discussion of M. L. Wang's novel, "Blood Over Bright Haven."

ABOUT THE BOOK

An orphan since the age of four, Sciona has always had more to prove than her fellow students. For twenty years, she has devoted every waking moment to the study of magic, fueled by a mad desire to achieve the impossible: to be the first woman ever admitted to the High Magistry. When she finally claws her way up the ranks to become a highmage, however, she finds that her challenges have just begun. Her new colleagues will stop at nothing to let her know she is unwelcome, beginning with giving her a janitor instead of a qualified lab assistant…

A standalone dark academia brimming with mystery, tragedy, and the damning echoes of the past. For fans of Leigh Bardugo, V. E. Schwab, and Fullmetal Alchemist.

We'll create our setting and characters together during the session, we'll also set the tone of what our play will look like and discuss safety tools before we play.

Opening Night : Works in Progress

A gallery show in the making - one night at a time! Come play, experiment and help the collection grow.

Step into a gallery that’s still taking shape—one night at a time. It’s not about being an artist or making something perfect. It’s about trying things, getting a little messy, and seeing what happens.

You’ll encounter a series of simple, hands-on activities—drawing, painting, tarot, childhood games, experimenting—guided by prompts and materials. You can follow along or do your own thing.

Everything you make becomes part of the collection. Come curious, try something new, and see what unfolds. Come and go anytime between 6pm-10pm, stay as long or as little as you like.

A slate of live entertainment, including musicians, comedians and more, keep the”fun” in “fundraising.” Full lineup coming soon. All proceeds go to supporting the vital work at the Independent. Buy a ticket, donate, spread the word.
