November at Bow 🍂

November is bursting at Bow! From our very first urban Ren Faire to festive celebrations like BowsGiving and Small Business Saturday, there’s something for everyone this month. Be sure to check out our calendar so you don’t miss a single moment of the fun!

Support Tamy of maca boston fight leukemia

Tamy, owner of maca boston, is a key member of the Bow Market community and we are showing up to support her! She was recently diagnosed with Leukemia after a month of excruciating back pain and has started treatment at Tufts Medical.

Funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward Tamy’s medical expenses, treatment costs, and living expenses while she’s unable to work.

Tamy has always believed in spreading light, even in the darkest times. Now, it’s our turn to help her feel that same light reflected back. Let’s rally together to help her overcome Leukemia with the same strength, creativity, and heart she’s always shown the rest of us.

If you are able, please go buy a bubble tea at maca and/or support the Go Fund Me.

Community Cooks

As our neighbors lose access to important benefits that keep food on the table, we wanted to share one way you can help. Community Cooks, a Somerville-based nonprofit near and dear to our hearts—they are literally, right next door to Bow—has been working for 35 years to mobilize neighbors to cook for neighbors across Greater Boston. Today, over 850 volunteers prepare dishes in their home kitchens that feed 2,100 people and counting who are experiencing food insecurity each month.

To join us in supporting their work, consider setting up a recurring monthly donation of any amount so Community Cooks can continue to feed our community and reach more people. To learn more about their ongoing volunteer opportunities visit here — it’s as easy as cooking one dish once a month. Whatever you can do, you’ll have a big impact on our community.
