Homebody General was created in 2020 after a long dinner conversation by Cari Meillo, an art therapist looking to provide her clients and the general population with a creative, crafty way to cope with their hardest moments. Today the business features her own punch needle kits as well as other fiber arts based kits from the best makers of their craft.
Life can be stressful, but when you craft, everything is in your hands and in your control. Engaging in new project is beneficial because hobbies with repetitive movement grow our frustration tolerance. When we take the time to focus on a project and learn a new skill we are more likely to feel confident throughout the day and are more open to trying something new that we might not be good at. Homebody General is not just selling craft kits. We are providing people a practice that will help them feel calmer, confident and joyful.
