Join Side Quest Books & Games and local writer Kay for this intimate 5-week workshop series for writers whose voices often go unheard.
Queer Crit(iques) is an inclusive writing workshop designed to support and empower queer writers in a safe and supportive environment, addressing the need for diverse spaces where all voices are heard. Participants will share short prose pieces or excerpts, receiving thoughtful feedback from fellow writers in focused discussions lasting thirty to forty minutes for each draft. The workshop, spanning five weeks, will feature two or three drafts workshopped per session, along with opportunities for craft discussions and writing exercises. Open to all experience levels and genres, the workshop encourages a collaborative spirit where writers can both give and accept feedback. Facilitated by Kay, a passionate writer and library cataloging assistant from Harvard, the workshop embraces creativity and community in a time when queer narratives are often marginalized.
NOTE: Please only sign up for this writing series if you can make at least 4 of the 5 sessions! Payment is for all sessions; refunds not available for missing individual sessions.
